Kidspot Top 50 bloggers for 2011: Mojito Mother

I am really excited to announce that Mojito Mother is included in Kidspot Top 50 bloggers for 2011 in Australia. It is such an honour to be included in this list with so many other great Australian mommy bloggers.

Tonight is the official launch party which I get to dress up and attend. What woman doesn’t like putting on a beautiful dress and feeling all swanky and beautiful the evening?

I’ve just got to find one that will fit me and the bump.

The most exciting thing about being included in this list is that I have an opportunity to reach the highly coveted number one spot. If I am successful in doing this I win the lease of a Ford Territory to drive as I like for a whole year.

Part of my requirement to be included in this Amazing Race is to write a blog post on the them “Drive” which I will be publishing within the next two weeks. I  have some creative ideas for it already and I can’t wait to tackle this challenge.

Based on this and readers votes, if I manage to make the top 5, I receive a Ford Territory for a month in which time I will be assigned various tasks to perform through this blog. The overall winner will be chosen from that.

So once again I am going to need your help with your votes. Once my blog piece on “Drive” is up as well I would really love your help with stumbling, tweeting it and the most important leaving me some insightful comments so we can get a conversation going.

In the meantime you can click on the button below which will take you to the voting page to vote for Mojito Mother as your favourite mummy blog.

While you are doing that, I’ll get cracking on a ultra good driving post.

Many thanks for your support. Craig and I were incredibly touched by all the amazing support we received via votes and social sharing when y travel blog was recently nominated for Best Australian Blog.

Fingers crossed I can pull this off. I really appreciate any assistance you can give me.

Thank you for your input. As I spent four years living in America, I sometimes mix up my spelling, just like sometimes I can’t remember which country drives on which side of the road.
To be honest, I don’t think the majority of my readers mind, and I don’t mind either. I’m happy to switch my spelling up and it’s my blog really isn’t it? I think it is a reflection of the type of person I am which is clearly evident on this blog and my travel blog. After spending 14 years travelling the world, you come to the understanding that skin colour, semantics, global citizenship, accents, religious beliefs and so forth really don’t matter. All that matters is that underneath these minute differences we are all the same- we laugh at the same things, we cry at the same things, we celebrate with the same passion, and we love with the same intensity.
I don’t like to limit my life with labels. I’m so much more than just a mother, a sister, a wife, an Aussie. I love all of these things, but I love being more as well.
All I care about is who the person is underneath the words they use and how they spell them. Are they living the best life they can, are they kind and compassionate, and are they making a difference?
I can’t help but imagine the most beautiful world we would live in if everyone thought like this and acted in this way.
Be the change you wish to see in the world- this is the philosophy I live by and believe to be true. What change are you being to help make this world a better place?
