Thought of the Week: Changes in Your Life
Each Sunday I present a different thought of the week. Something for us to think about and then share our answers with others.
I really want to get to know my community more, find out who is sitting out their in cyber space and how they think. There is so much we can share and learn from one another. And sharing is also a great way to find support and encouragement from others to keep pushing forward to your dreams. If we don’t know how you think or what you want it makes it harder to help.
Today’s Thought of the Week is
What’s the number one change you need to make in your life in the next twelve months?
For me, that is to change my current living circumstances. The change I want to make is to move to Thailand. I know that this will bring me more happiness, health and general peace. It will also give me a cheaper and better lifestyle and more time to focus on my business and family. I was speaking with a friend the other night who has decided to move to Seoul for similar reasons. As he said to me, “One thing I’ve learned is that it’s all about happiness. Material possessions and how much you earn does not matter, quality of life and happiness does.” And so that is why I need to make this big change over the next 12 months.
And you? Please share what your change is and why you need to make it?

One thing? You want me to pick one thing??? Egh!
Well my two eldest are at an age now where I can engage with them on a different level about all things life, culture, history etc.
So I would like to make more time to introduce them to different things where they can start to understand the world they live in a little.
Love & stuff

I know it is hard to narrow it down to one. What a great change to want to make. I’m sure you can teach your children so much and have a lot of fun with them while you do!

My number one thing to change is to rid myself of an awful condition called “perfectitis”.
It has been running my life for many years – at school, uni, in friendships and relationships and has become even more apparent now Im a mum and business owner.
I used to think it was a good thing….attempting to do and be my best but it is never good enough…I always think I can do better!
It is clearly hampering my business momentum – I spend so much time trying to get things exactly right, spending hours editing, researching, educating myself in an effort to be the best when I need to just to get to a point where I can happily ‘let go’ and just get er done!
mmmm, I think I just had a grt idea for a blog post….but would it be good enough *sigh*
Have to say, Im really enjoying your “thought of the week” – gets me reflecting in a diferent way than I am used to – Thx!
PS – One of my besties has been living in Thailand for about 5 years and I intend on visiting next year…sounds like a fab place to live and dream big.

Ah perfectitis!! Can be a real killer for getting things done. Just start off small. Allow small things to get published that aren’t perfect and you will ease yourself into giving it up. I’m glad you are enjoying the Thought of the Week.
Thailand is a fab place to live, it is just easy and cheap living. $5 massages and delicious $2 meals. You can’t go wrong.
