Canon Pixma Printables help me get my craft on
I shiver with fear every time Kalyra asks to do arts and crafts with me.
It’s not that I don’t like it, I actually do like painting, drawing and creating with her.
It’s just that I don’t have a crafty bone in my body, so the extent of my crafty magic is a paper plane or our first family painting that Kalyra did without much help from me.
So when I was asked to get my craft on and try the new Canon Pixma Printables I jumped on it.
Crafty fun with Kalyra without me having to think up cute and clever craft projects.
Canon Pixma Printables offers hundreds of crafty activities with step by step instructions leaving me to enjoy quality time with Kalyra making some fun things. We cut, pasted, coloured, talked and laughed. So much better than playing barbie schools and hide and seek.
Canon Pixma printables is all Ice Age 4 focused at the moment, which was exciting for Kalyra as we went and saw it in 3D with her cousin a couple of weeks ago. I’ve ever seen an Ice Age movie before and I really enjoyed it. Captain Gutt was who Kalyra talked about most, but it was Shira, the female lion that stole her heart. She is princess girly mad and Shira was the closest to that in the movie.
So of course that was the first Canon Pixma printable she wanted me to print off for her so she could paint it. And when it came time to do the next one, she ignored my suggestion to go for Captain Gutt and asked for Shira again. This time she painted her in rainbow. She’s got two more Shira’s to do now, one for Daddy and Savannah to complete the family Shira gifts.
The Canon Pixma printables is not just about painting and Ice Age 4. There are lots of fun activities like photo calendars, bookmarks and party hats. We made some cute pom poms from tissue paper and ribbon. Kalyra is now cheering all over the house with them.
My favourite was the room name tag, which is all flowery and pink and pretty. We printed the photo of her and her cousin from our Canon pixma printer and I was pretty amazed by the photo quality, absolutely on par with what you would get at a photo printing store. (Which excites me as now I can craft up my baby photo books.)
The instructions for the room name tag were a little challenging for my non-crafty self, but we got there in the end and now Kalyra has a beautiful introduction to her room. She loves to claim it now and shut the door in Savannah’s face for her almost-five-year-old time out from the annoying baby sister who just wants to tear up her room and steal her barbie dolls.
Savannah just looks at the name tag and cries.
Poor Savannah, if only Canon had some Pixma printable and craft tips for a 10 month old.
(P.S I had some beautiful photos as evidence of our clever crafty vibe, but my SD card died somewhere in the middle of the snaps and I lost them all. I know I’m devastated. I’ve only got a few dodgy phone photos)
