Gratitude and Happiness: Time with family and old friends
Fundraising event for a friend
Yesterday I went to an event at my local tavern for an old school friend who is recovering from breast cancer. It is a shame we met under the circumstances, but my friend is doing really well, which makes us all so happy. It was wonderful to see so many friends turn up to help a friend in need.
We had a blast! I was so lucky to have such a great group of friends through high school. We all got along and had a lot of laughs. Time hasn’t stopped that at all!
Sculptures by the Sea
On Friday we walked from Coogee to Bondi Beach to take in Sculptures by the Sea with my parents. Not only is this one of the most beautiful coastal walks in Australia, but the sculptures on display made it all the more stunning and fascinating.
There were hordes of people around admiring the art. We had a ball and It was so great for Kalyra to experience this way of expressing yourself.

Blogs I’m reading
Brightening your day with red lipstick by Christina from Hair Romance. I love this idea of upping the bold in your life by wearing red lippy. I’ve always shied away from it so am going to force myself to wear it and see the results.
Don’t work nervously by Sarah Wilson I’m doing more of this lately, just letting it go and doing what I enjoy most.
What is freedom? by Chris Guillebeau I love how Chris describes what freedom is to him and I agree. Freedom is my highest value, but I don’t want that to mean freedom where I do nothing but lay on the couch. I actually love freedom that grants me the opportunity to contribute.
Song of the week: Superwoman Alicia Keys
Great song! Perfect for today’s modern woman.
